‘Upgrade Yourself’ is a unique feature of ‘Learners Hub’. DETians believe that upgrading knowledge is important for growth and development. The vast library resources of the DET caters to not only the academics or book related to educational technology but also books on self-improvement, improving language skills, dictionaries, etc. This section showcases the frequently accessed literature and some psychometric tests which are interesting as well as interactive.

 It comprises of two very important aspects of the DET portfolio, viz, ‘Top 10 books’ and ‘Tests’.

Books:

Top 10 books’ gives a sneak preview of the plethora of information that the DET library has to offer to its faculty, project team members and of course their students. The department library caters to the all-round development of their learners. And this is highly evident from the variety of books from strengthening one’s English to the finest in Instructional Technology, that the library is proud to display on the shelves of their cupboards.

Books authored by Indian as well foreign authors share library space at DET. Books written in English as well as Marathi are evidence that care has been taken to cater to the students from vernacular medium too. The books that enjoy the top 10 rating are the most exceptional ones… the most prized possessions, that the department can pride itself on.

Tests:

The ‘Tests’ feature includes various psychological as well as psychometric tests based on the topics ‘Learning style’, ‘Multiple–intelligence’ and ‘Personality’. A key attribute of ‘Tests’ is that the viewer can actually click on the active links provided under each topic to explore more about himself or herself, thus making the entire feature extremely interactive.
Thus ‘Upgrade Yourself’ invites the viewers to raise their awareness about the services that DET offers to its learners to build their knowledge and also gives the viewers a chance to know themselves better.
