Abstract:
Internet is advancing with new technologies and facilities. There are facilities like chats, discussion boards, and virtual classrooms available on the internet. In this scenario it has offered another tool called “web blog” or blog. Researcher felt need to for the study from the fact that the awareness about blogs is very less in the Indian context. In addition to this it can be used in education as a new concept.
Objectives of the research were:
To study the effectiveness of ‘Blogging in learning’ on the academic achievement
To study the opinion about blogging in learning.
To evaluate the usage of blogs during the study by participants
The method used was pre-experimental single group pretest post test design which was implemented on 18 students of 6th batch of MET-CA. Data was collected from the participants by giving them pretest before the treatment (blogging) and post test after treatment. Opinionaire was prepared to collect samples opinion about blogs. It was found that there was a significant increase in the scores of post test given to the participants using blogs. Also all participants had a positive outlook towards blogs.
