Abstract:
The primary purpose of this study is to identify the learning preference of students about the MS-CITCD as per their learning styles. Learning preference includes the features that maintain student’s interest and motivation in the CD, task engagement strategies and the instructional strategies used in the CD for involving the students in the CD’s activities and the multimedia inputs like graphics, audio and animations, used to make the CD attractive and helps the students in learning. All these features helps to engage the learners in learning, make presentation in a way that stimulates the information that is presented to them in personally meaningful ways.
Objective of the research were:
- To identify the preference for facilities and features according to their learning styles.
Survey design was used for collection of data. 50 students of MS-CIT were selected for this study. Selection of sample was done purposely. The Kolb’ Learning Style Inventory and an opinionnaire were the tools used for data collection. Data was organized and students were classified according to their learning styles. They were grouped into four Learning Styles i.e. Divergers, Convergers, Assimilators, and Accomodators.
All the learners have different perception about the features of the MC-CIT CD. All of them have different preference about how they like one features and how they want to learn any topic. Their responses about adequacy of components of CD are different from each other depending on their respective learning styles. Therefore, now the CD of MS-CIT would be made keeping in mind the different learning styles of learners. So that their preference may not affect and their achievement would go high.
