

Co-curricular Activities
DET not only make students career oriented but also prepare them to face challenges in life, develops one's personality, exhibit various skills through co-curricular activities.
Orientation
Every year seniors organize orientation for the new batch on the commencement of the course. On the orientation day seniors give outline about the course. Faculty members are also introduced during the same. Games are played to break the ice. Seniors also arrange the campus tour. Introductory game is an interactive session where juniors and seniors come together and try to know each other. It is considered as one of the best features of the orientation which makes interaction among juniors as well as seniors possible. Overall purpose behind giving the orientation is to make freshers familiar with the DET environment, students, and staff and prepare them for the upcoming challenges.
Excursion
DET arranges for the excursion which is made for educational purposes. It is often a long journey or visit to a place/ industries which provides an effective means of accomplishing the stated objectives of the entire training program of MET-CA course.Uptil now students along with the faculty have visited various industries, schools, institutes, organisations situated out of Mumbai.
Welcome and farewell party
Every year generally in the month of August, after the new batch of METCA join, then welcome party for the juniors and a farewell party for the seniors is arranged. It is a get-together of all the past and present (and newly joined) students that helps them to get to know each other personally.
Yuva mahotsav
SNDT Women’s University organizes Youth Festival (Yuva Mahotsav) every year in the month of September. Many of the Students of DET participate in the same and also win prizes.
Potluck
A potluck is a gathering of people where each person is expected to bring a dish of food to be shared among the group. DET arranges this potluck when the faculty members from foreign universities visit DET, especially variety of Indian dishes are brought by each student on this occasion
Annual day
Annual get-together is mostly arranged in the month of December or January. Students of semester I and III participate enthusiastically. Events like group/solo dance, games, fashion show, felicitation of merit holder students. Annual day is also arranged by the DET students. It helps to develop their organization, communication, management skills, etc.
Assembly
Department organizes a 10-12 minutes session on “Reflections” everyday after the prayer.This activity helps the students to reflect on any good thought, relate their experiences with others. This activity helps in value clarification, value prioritization.
